The Marshall McLuhan Award for 2007

At the 8th Annual Convention of the Media Ecology Association, held at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Estado de México, June 6–10, 2007, Dr. Fallon's first book, Printing, Literacy, and Education in Eighteenth Century Ireland: Why the Irish Speak English, was awarded the Marshall McLuhan Award for Outstanding Book in the Field of Media Ecology. It was selected from a group of eighty nominees.

Fallon joined a list of McLuhan Award Winners including Neil Postman, Francis Fukuyama, Thomas de Zengotita, Douglas Rushkoff, John Miles Foley, and Lance Strate.
